میسا چوسٹس: سائنس دانوں کا دعویٰ ہے کہ نفسیاتی بیماریاں مثلاً شیزو فرونیا اور بائی پالر ڈس آرڈر موروثی طور پر نسل در نسل منتقل ہوتی ہیں جب کہ ذہنی امراض کا تعلق نیورو لوجیکل ڈس آرڈر سے ہوتا ہے۔

تحقیقی جریدے سائنس میں شائع ہونے والے مقالے کے مطابق نفسیاتی امراض بھی موروثی ہوتے ہیں بالخصوص شیزوفرونیا اور بائی پالر ڈس آرڈر کے نسل در نسل منتقل ہونے کے شواہد ملے ہیں تاہم ذہنی امراض جیسے پارکنسن اور الزائمر نیورو لوجیکل ڈس آرڈر کی وجہ سے ہوتے ہیں۔ اس سے قبل یہ سمجھا جاتا تھا کہ نفسیاتی امراض بھی محض کسی دماغی یا نیورون کی خرابی کی وجہ سے وقوع پذیر ہوتے ہیں۔

میسا چوسٹس انسٹی ٹیوٹ برائے ٹیکنالوجی کے تحقیق کاروں نے پاپولیشن جینیٹک کے ڈائریکٹر بین نیل کی سربراہی میں 600 سے زائد طبی مراکز کے تحقیق کاروں کی مدد سے ذہنی اور نفسیاتی مریضوں کے دو گروہ کا وسیع مطالعہ کیا اور اس نتیجے پر پہنچے کہ نفسیاتی امراض موروثی ہوسکتے ہیں البتہ ذہنی امراض دماغ یا نیورون میں پیدا ہونے والی خرابی کا باعث ہو سکتے ہیں۔

اس تحقیق سے نفسیاتی بیماریوں کی تشخیص اور علاج میں مدد ملے گی تاہم ابھی اس سلسلے میں مزید تحقیق جاری ہے اور جینوم تھراپی کے ذریعے اس بیماری سے نبرد آزما ہونے کے امکانات پر بھی غور کیا جا رہا ہے اگر سائنس دان اپنی اس کاوش میں کامیاب ہو جاتے ہیں تو خودکشی پر آمادہ کرنے والے ان نفسیاتی امراض سے نجات پانا آسان ہوجائے گا۔

’آسیبی عضو‘ یا فینٹم لمِب ایک طرح کا احساس ہے اور یہ ان لوگوں کو ہوتا ہے جن کے ہاتھ یا پاؤں کٹ چکے ہوں۔ وہ محسوس کرتے ہیں کہ جیسے ان کے ہاتھ اور پیر موجود ہیں۔ ماہرین نے کئی گھنٹوں تک ای ای جی لے کر کہا ہے کہ شاید فینٹم لمب کا احساس واقعی موجود ہو اور اسی بنیاد پر یہ برقی جلد بنائی گئی ہے۔

ماہرین نے اپنے ریسرچ پیپر میں لکھا ہے کہ عضو سے محروم ہونے والے کئی افراد اپنے کٹے ہوئے اعضا پر دباؤ اور حس محسوس کرتے ہیں جن میں کچھ برقی سرسراہٹ بھی ہوتی ہے۔ بسا اوقات یہ لوگ قابلِ برداشت درد بھی محسوس کرتے ہیں۔ اس جلد کے ذریعے پہننے والا کسی خاص انگلی کو چھونے کا احساس کرسکتا ہے۔

اس تحقیق کے مرکزی سائنس داں پروفیسر نتیش ٹھاکر کہتے ہیں کہ پہلی مرتبہ کسی معذور شخص کو مصنوعی جلد کے ذریعے چھونے کا اعلیٰ احساس دینا ممکن ہوا ہے جو عین اصل انسانی ہاتھ جیسا احساس جگاتا ہے۔

اس پر کام کرنے والے ایک اور بایو میڈیکل طالب علم لیوک اوسبرن نے بتایا کہ برقی جلد بازارمیں دستیاب کئی طرح کے مصنوعی بازوؤں میں بآسانی فٹ ہوجاتی ہے۔ اسے پہن کر ہاتھ پاؤں سے محروم افراد کانٹا چبھنے کو بھی محسوس کرسکتے ہیں، جب یہ جلد ایک مصنوعی بازو والے رضاکار کو لگائی گئی تو اس نے کہا کہ میرے بے جان ہاتھ میں اب زندگی پیدا ہوچکی ہے۔ اگلے مرحلے میں اسے درجہ حرارت نوٹ کرنے کے قابل بنایا جائے گا۔ دوسری جانب اسے خلا نوردوں کے لباس کی تیاری میں بھی استعمال کرنا ممکن ہوگا۔

اس جلد کے احساس کو براہ راست ہاتھوں کی نسیجوں تک پہنچایا جاتا ہے جس کے بعد وہ اسے محسوس کرسکتا ہے۔

خون کا ذیادہ بہاؤ

بچہ بے قرار ہوکر رورہا ہو اور خاموش نہ ہوتا ہو

شیرخوارطفل کے گرنے کی آواز سے نوٹ کریں کہ آیا اسے کوئی چوٹ تو نہیں لگی ہے۔

بچے کا سینہ، بازو، کمر، ٹانگوں اور خصوصاً چہرے اور سر پر خراش، گومڑ یا کسی قسم کے نشان کو نوٹ کرنے کی کوشش کیجئے۔

اگر اوپربیان کردہ تمام کیفیات میں سے ایک بھی نہ ہوں تو بچے کو آرام دہ انداز میں لیٹا کر کم از کم 15 منٹ تک اس کا بغور جائزہ لیجئے۔  اگر آپ کوئی غیرمعمولی تبدیلی نوٹ نہیں کرتے تو اطمینان رکھیں کہ معاملات ٹھیک ہیں۔ تاہم بچہ ایک یا دو گھنٹے بعد بھی قے کرسکتا ہے یا الٹی کرسکتا ہے اوراس صورت میں اسے ہسپتال لے جانا ضروری ہے۔

شیرخواربچے کے گرنے کی صورت میں اوپر بیان کردہ علامات کے علاوہ  یہ کیفیات بھی پیدا ہوسکتی ہیں۔ یہ علامات انتہائی پیچیدہ ہوسکتی ہیں جنہیں ہرگز نظر اندازنہ کیجئے۔

بہت سونا

بہت دیر تک خاموش رہنا،

کھانے سے انکار

حال ہی میں سیکھے کچھ امور کو بھول جانا

آنکھوں اور کانوں سے مائع کا اخراج

سر میں گڑھا پڑجانا

ہانگ کانگ یونیورسٹی کے محققین نے اس علاج کو فنکشنل ٹریٹمنٹ کا نام دیا جسے چوہوں پر آزمایا گیا اور حیران کن طور پر قوت مدافعت میں اضافے کی وجہ سے چوہوں میں ایڈز کا مرض ختم ہوگیا۔ پروفیسر چن ژیوائی اس طریقہ علاج کے لیے کافی پُر امید نظر آتے ہیں۔ انہوں نے ایڈز کے مریضوں میں قوت مدافعت میں اضافے کے لیے خصوصی دوا تیار کی ہے۔

پروفیسر چن ژیوائی کا کہنا تھا کہ یہ دوا ایڈز کی تمام اقسام میں کارگر ثابت ہوگی جسے کم از کم تین ماہ استعمال کرنا لازمی ہوگا۔ اس دوا سے ایچ آئی وی وائرس کی موجودگی معدوم ہو جائے گی تاہم ابھی اس دوا کو گلوبل ہیلتھ لیبارٹریزز سے تصدیق ہونا ہے جس کے بعد عالمی ادارۂ صحت سے بھی اس دوا کی تصدیق کرائی جائے گی۔

یاد رہے کہ ایڈز ایک جان لیوا مرض ہے اور ایچ آئی وی نامی وائرس اس مرض کا موجب ہے۔ یہ وائرس خون کی منتقلی یا پھر غیر ازدواجی جنسی تعلق قائم رکھنے کی وجہ سے پھیلتا ہے۔ اب تک ایڈز کا واحد علاج احتیاط ہے اور سائنس دان اس مرض کا علاج دریافت کرنے کے لیے تحقیق و تجربات میں مصروف ہیں۔

ڈاکٹروں کے مطابق 19 سالہ حبیب اللہ بھٹی، 15 سالہ مہرالنسا، 10 سالہ نصیب اللہ بھٹی اور 6 سال کی بیٹی خیرالنسا ایپی ڈرمولائٹک ہائپر کیرا ٹوسس کے شکار ہیں جس میں ہاتھوں اور پیروں کی جلد سخت ہوتی جاتی ہے, یہ مرض دنیا میں دو لاکھ میں سے کسی ایک فرد کو لاحق ہوسکتا ہے۔

ان بچوں کی ہتھیلیوں اور پاؤں کے تلووں کی جلد بڑھ کر سخت ہوچکی ہے جس سے ان بچوں کو شدید تکلیف ہوتی ہے یہاں تک کہ یہ بچے چپل اور سینڈل پہننے سے بھی قاصر ہیں۔ ڈاکٹروں نے اس مرض کو لاعلاج قرار دیا ہے جس سے بچوں کے والد نذیر بھٹی اور والدہ عابدہ علی بہت پریشان ہیں۔

تین سال قبل خیرالنسا کے پیروں پر نئی جلد اگنے لگی تھی جو اگلے دو تین ماہ میں ٹھوس ہوتی گئی اور اس میں تکلیف بڑھتی گئی۔ والدین نے بچی کا روحانی علاج کرایا لیکن کوئی افاقہ نہ ہوا اور اس کے بعد باقی تینوں بچے بھی اسی مرض میں مبتلا ہوئے۔

طبی تاریخ کے مطابق یہ پیدائشی مرض ہے اور اس گھر کے تین بچے ایسے ہیں جنہیں یہ مرض لاحق نہیں۔ یہ خاندان سجاول سے آیا ہے جہاں سردیوں میں بھی اس کے شکار بچے چل پھر نہیں سکتے  اور یہاں تک کہ موزے بھی نہیں پہن سکتے۔  بعض اوقات ان بچوں کی تکلیف اتنی بڑھ جاتی ہے کہ ہر گھنٹے بعد ان کی ہاتھ اور پیروں پر پانی ڈالا جاتا ہے۔

والدین نے بچوں کی اس کیفیت کے لیے کئی ڈاکٹروں کو دکھایا لیکن کہیں سے بھی افاقہ نہ ہوسکا اور مرض بڑھتا ہی چلا جارہا ہے۔ بچوں کا غریب والد مشکل سے روزانہ 500 روپے کما پاتا ہے اور اسی لیے بچوں کا علاج کرانے سے بھی قاصر ہے۔

برلن: سائنس دانوں نے کینسر کی تشخیص کے لیے ایک کِٹ تیار کرلی ہے جس کے ذریعے کوئی بھی مریض خود سے کینسر کے مرض کا پتہ چلا سکے گا۔

سائنس دان ایچ آئی وی وائرس کی تشخیص کے لیے ایک سادہ سی کٹ تیار کرنے میں کامیاب ہوگئے ہیں جس کے ذریعے کوئی بھی شخص خود سے خون میں اس موزی وائرس کی موجودگی کا پتہ چلا سکتا ہے اور بروقت تشخیص کے ذریعے اس مرض کو شکست دی جاسکتی ہے۔ یہ سادہ ٹیسٹ لیبارٹری جائے بغیر گھر میں بھی انجام دیا جاسکتا ہے جو نہایت ارزاں قیمت بھی ہے۔

کینسر کے مرض کی تشخیص کے لیے کی جانے والی اس کامیاب تشخیصی کٹ کو تجرباتی بنیاد پر رواں سال اپریل میں پیش کیا گیا تھا جسے اب دنیا بھر میں سال کے آخر تک مارکیٹ کیا جا سکے گا۔ جرمنی کی وزارت صحت نے ایچ آئی وی وائرس کو ٹیسٹ کرنے کے لیے خود تشخیصی کِٹ کی جلد دستیابی کے لیے اقدامات کر لیے ہیں اسی طرح امریکا سمیت دیگر ممالک میں بھی اس ٹیسٹ کٹ کو ماہرین طب کی جانب سے پذیرائی حاصل ہورہی ہے۔

جرمن وزارت صحت کا کہنا ہے کہ کینسر کی تشخیص کے لیے ’ٹیسٹ کٹ‘ کی ہر خاص و عام کو دستیابی کا مقصد پرائیوسی کو برقرار رکھتے ہوئے مدافعتی نظام کو نقصان پہنچانے والے ایچ آئی وائرس کی موجودگی کا پتہ چلانا ہے تاکہ مریض بروقت علاج کا آغاز کرسکیں گے۔ جرمنی میں 88 ہزار افراد کینسر کے مرض میں مبتلا ہیں اور 13 ہزار ایسے مریض ہیں جنہیں اپنے جسم میں کینسر کی موجودگی کا علم ہی نہیں۔

واضح رہےکہ کینسر اس وقت ایک بڑا چیلنج ہے اور اس کی اولین شناخت کے لیے دنیا بھر میں تحقیق کی جارہی ہے امید کی جا رہی ہے کہ یہ خود تشخیصی کٹ اسی برس کے آخر تک فروخت کے لیے دستیاب ہو گی۔
